CHESANING SPORTPLANE ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED

CHAPTER 597 OF THE

EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT ASSOCIATION INCORPORATED

ARTICLE I

NAME

The name of this organization shall be the Chesaning Sportplane Association Incorporated, Chapter 597 of the Experimental Aircraft Association Incorporated.

ARTICLE II

OFFICE LOCATION

The office of this organization shall be in the Chesaning, Michigan area.

ARTICLE III

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE:

A) To promote and engage in aviation education.

B) To encourage, aid, and engage in research for the improvement and better understanding of the science of aeronautics.

C) To provide opportunities for members to display, discuss, and evaluate their projects, their plans, and their experiences for the common good of all members.

D) To serve as a pool for pertinent information and for collective bargaining in procurement of materials for aircraft projects.

E) This Chapter 597 is a non-profit, non-stock organization.

ARTICLE IV

ELIGIBILITY OF MEMBERSHIP

A) Eligibility of membership is open to any person belonging to or going to join the Experimental Aircraft Association Incorporated.

B) Duration of membership of Chapter 597 is (1) year following payment of dues.

ARTICLE V

DUES

A) Dues shall be determined by financial status of the chapter.

ARTICLE VI

OFFICERS

A) The officers shall be the President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

ARTICLE VII

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

A) The board of directors is the officers.

ARTICLE VIII

MEETINGS

A) Meetings shall be held monthly on the time voted on by its members.

ARTICLE IX

ELECTIONS

A) The election of officers shall be held every (2) years.

ARTICLE X

AMENDMENTS

A) These By-Laws may be added on to, or amended by 2/3 of the paid membership vote.

AMENDMENT 1

In the event of the dissolution of the Chesaning Sportplane Association Inc., Chapter 597 of the Experimental Aircraft Association Incorporated, all of the assets of the corporation shall, after payment of its obligations, be conveyed, paid over and delivered to a non profit organization of the memberships choosing at that time, with the exception of the Chapter office which shall revert in ownership to the Village of Chesaning, Michigan, and shall be used as an airport office.

AMENDMENT 2

Chapter Members shall follow and abide by documented Chapter Rules.
